Health is a strategically important sector in Turkey. Due to“Transformation in Health Program” that is proceeded by the Turkish Ministry of Health in Sağlık Türkiye’de stratejik öneme sahip bir sektör olarak kabul edilmektedir. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Sağlık Bakanlığı tarafından 2004, many reforms and investments has been made in the sector. Great improvements have been processed through R&D and promotions for the innovation, which lead Turkey to become a successful example to the World.
As a result of Transformation in Health Program is successfully implemented, Turkey has become one of the leading countries that international patients prefer in the last couple of years.
Many developed country has faced challenges due to COVID-19 pandemic, Turkish Health System has achieved a difficult task thanks to successful hospital investments and experienced health workers. In this period, Turkey has aided about 200 countries by donating medical devices and equipments and has become one of the few countries who produce her own vaccine.
Along with these, Turkey has been implementing Public-Private-Partnership programs successfully. According to public-private partnership specialists, Turkey is the second most attractive global market for the medium- and long-term PPPs.
Due to Digital Transformation in Health efforts, Turkey has achieved great progress. According to USA-centered NGO, HIMSS, Turkey has left the European countries behind when evaluated through the accreditation measures.
Turkiye – Pakistan Foreign Trade
Turkiye-Pakistan foreign trade changes over years. The trade volume between countries in 2011 has reached to its peak with 1,2 billion dollars. In the following years, the volume goes and downs but it is known that the trade potential between two countries is quite large.
According to DEIK Turkiye-Pakistan Business Council decisions, the trade volume is planned to be 5 billion dollars in 2023.
